RECOMMENDATIONS FROM STAFF FOR DECISIONS

Reconsideration of Development Variance Permit for 7500 Donaldson Drive

• Recommendation

  THAT Council brings Resolution R246/19/07/15, the Development Variance Permit application for 7500 Donaldson Drive, back for consideration.

b.

Temporary Use Permit Application - 6380 -12th Street

Development, Engineering, and Planning

• Recommendation

  THAT Council directs staff to proceed with the statutory requirements for the public notice respecting a Temporary Use Permit Application for Personal Seasonal Recreational Use at 6380 - 12th Street.

c.

Application to Rezone R1 to R2 - 1711 - 77th Avenue

• Recommendation

  THAT Council gives first and second readings to Zoning Bylaw Amendment No. 2039-A10 at the November 25, 2019, Regular Meeting; and THAT Council directs staff to move forward with the legislative requirements for the rezoning.

MIABC Planning Consultant

• Recommendation

  THAT Council approves the Service Provider Agreement of the Municipal Insurance Association of BC (MIABC) for the Planning and Development Services Agreement between the City of Grand Forks and Wendy Whelen, and the addition of Ms. Whelen as an Associate Member to the City’s MIABC policy.

Zoning/OCP Update - Emergency Shelter and Supportive Housing Options

• Recommendation

  THAT Council approve the definitions for Extreme Weather Response Shelter, Emergency Shelter, Transitional Housing and Supportive Housing and direct staff to move forward with the legislative requirements to amend Zoning Bylaw 2039 to include the definitions. 

• Recommendation

  THAT Council consider the areas within the City best suited for locating Extreme Weather Response Shelters, Emergency Shelters, Transitional Housing units and Supportive Housing units.
